We went for strawberry picking last week..This time, we chose the one which is located in Swansea...about 1 hour journey from Cardiff. It's a bigger farm compared than the one we went last year. The strawberries were bigger and of course MORE DELICIOUS!!!The kids were enjoying themselves searching for the fruits. There were also other berries,but we didn't even bother to pick them ...The redness of the strawberries obviously had taken all of our attention and interest!

This song reminds me of who I am right now....Yes, regardless what, I still get a shiver down my spine whenever I think about this complicated and messy doctorate.Sometimes, I still have tears streaming down my cheeks when I feel lost and hopeless. Honestly, I am way too tired...but I know that this is not the end. I don't ever want to miss any opportunity or chances in my life, the satisfaction feeling that I might get eventually..and most of all, the proudness that I might set on my beloved's eyes,one day...Yes,InsyaAllah, that special day will come..Hence, I must never stop seeking for His blessing throughout this journey....

Happy Father's Day To the Greatest Papa!

It's Father's Day today!!!
This time, the children planned a treasure hunt game for their dad..Hmm...something quite different..but really fun, especially when seeing his face glowing with eagerness, searching for the clues..  We laughed at him for having had to search for the surprises which were put secretly in the fridge (the card!) and finally in the backyard garden (the present!).
(p/s: Thanks DD for helping me to find out the best gift...Obviously..he was smiling when he saw the Lions rugby shirt. You're surely a great 'secret digger'!!!  )

Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for Misya and Damia yesterday and it was really awesome! It was a princess birthday party just like they asked for it..with pink and white as the theme colours! The kids surely had a blast time with friends around...singing, eating and playing together. There were even henna and make-up sessions for them..and as usual the parents were busy stuffing themselves with the food..  .Thank you my dear friends for the food, presents and best of all..the happiness and laughter that you brought to the kids....!

It's our last day and we decided to spend the day in the city before heading back home....Obviously, there were varieties of halal food here..Too bad, we couldn't find the grocery shop which was mentioned by friends to be selling items like 'petai' and 'durians'. But hey, finally, I could find 'petis udang' which is my favourite when eating laksa!
Met our friend, Marjan & his family from Surrey...had a chit-chat for a few hours while the kids having their own fun moment playing in the park....

West Midlands , Safari Park
|
|
It's school holiday...brought the kids to the Safari Park in Birmingham.It's sort of a zoo but the visitors are free to drive in their own vehicles to observe the wildlife. The kids, of course were really excited to have the chance to feel and touch the animals especially when they were licked by some of them! Of course then, the wild ones like the lions, tigers and elephants were far too dangerous and we were warned repeatedly by the rangers to shut all the windows! It' s the first time for me as well to have a closer look at the tall giraffes...they even bent down their necks to be served with the food pellets by us! Sounds interesting, huh?!
Well, it was more exciting for the girls later on that day when they had a blast time in the nearby amusement park! Kids!!!Always find 'torturing' themselves with the rides as really fun!!!!

Weekend again!

It's a wet day again! In fact...it's been wet for the whole week. Sunday was supposed to be a 'special' day for those who love to go to carboot especially since a bigger one in Sully is now operating.But when it comes to a day like this...no traders are willing to trade there...So what we can do is to go somewhere else or....having fun EATING at home!
This time I cooked western dishes for them...Roast Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce and some homemade Potato Breads(just like in Kenny Rogers..he!he!)

Potato Bread - dough.Reminded us to the ones we used to buy in Carrefour.
Potato Bread - Our favourite each time we went to Carrefour! Just tried the recipe...delicious and soft enough to get compliments from the rest.Next time, I should make the custard thicker

Special Menu of the week!

Weekend is the time where we can have a more complete and of course, delicious meal!This time, we prepared Tomyam Campur, Grilled Seabass, 'Sawi' with Salted Fish (ala Kailan Ikan Masin), 'Air Asam' and 'Sambal Siam' .Well, it would be better if we prepared 'Telur Bungkus' as well...but my growling tummy stopped me from spending too much time in the kitchen Hmm....yummy!!!!Everyone of us enjoyed the food....
